If you're looking for an authentic, rustic ranch lodging experience, try North Fork Bed & Breakfast in the town of Tipton in the southwest corner of the state. A working cattle ranch, North Fork is named after its proximity to the north fork of the Red River. The rustic surroundings and Western theme of the house are not at the expense of comfort. The accommodations at North Fork consist of five spacious bedrooms including a large master bedroom with a king size bed, two large bedrooms with queen beds and two smaller rooms with regular beds. A large common room with vaulted ceilings and a gas fireplace is available for lodgers, as are the outdoor kitchen, pool table and wide-screen TV.

North Fork Bed & Breakfast is a great place to just relax, but if you're looking for something to do, there are plenty of outdoor and social activities to partake in. With some advance notice, the owners can organize a horse-riding expedition, or you can bring your own horse. ATV excursions around the area, fishing, hiking and cookouts are just some of the fun activities available. Ask about the possibility of a tour of the Crawford wildlife exhibit in Frederick, or take a short trip to the stunning Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, located nearby.
