Sequoyah State Park
Sequoyah State Park, located in eastern Oklahoma on the shores of Fort Gibson Lake, is a haven for water lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. With over 19,000 surface acres of water and 225 miles of shoreline, the park attracts boaters as well as those who just enjoy relaxing on the swim beach. Visitors enjoy hiking, picnicking, guided horseback trail rides, wildlife watching, nature center activities, golf and disc-golf, fishing and camping.
The newly renovated Lodge at Sequoyah State Park, formerly known as Western Hills Guest Ranch, is the largest of Oklahoma's state park lodges with 104 lodge rooms and 45 cottages. Lodge amenities include a restaurant, meeting rooms, zero-entry swimming pool with children's splash park and more. WiFi is offered in the lodge lobby, media room, meeting spaces and restaurant. For larger groups, book the bunkhouse, which sleeps 44 people and comes with a great room and kitchen facility.
Campground facilities at Sequoyah State Park include 48 full hookup sites and 80 water and electric hookup RV sites spread between three areas. The Seminole Area offers 20 full hookup sites and 20 sites with water and electric hookups. The Choctaw Area offers 24 full hookup sites while the Cherokee Area has 60 sites. Reservations guarantee a site in a specific area and a specific site number. All reserved sites will be identified with a reserved sign.
A total of 150 tent sites are also available on a first come, first serve basis. Additional facilities at Sequoyah State Park include comfort stations, lighted boat ramps and group picnic shelters. The group camp facilities include 10 A-frame cabins that can accommodate 150 people, as well as climate-controlled dining hall.
For even more adventure, visit Sequoyah Riding Stables for a trail ride or hayrides on wooded and open trails inside the park. Bring your group to Cowboy Camp at the stables. Visit Three Forks Nature Center within the park to view live animals and educational displays. The on-site park naturalist is available for individual and group programs. The two-mile paved trail in the park is perfect for hiking, biking, walking and running.
The Sequoyah State Park Golf Course, designed by Floyd Farley, is an 18-hole, par 70, 5,860 yard golf course with Ultradwarf Bermuda grass greens, tees and fairways, well-placed sand bunkers and lake views. Facilities include a pro shop with cart, club rental, snacks, drinks and a gift shop. Book a tee time online with the booking link provided. A disc golf course is also available on the golf course. The disc course can be played as a regulation 18-hole, par-70 golf game or as a shorter par-3 (par-54) disc game. Golf carts may be rented for use on the disc course, or walking is allowed. There is a small fee to play the disc course and cart rental is extra.
The full-service Paradise Cove Marina features boat rentals, boat sales, loading dock, gas dock, slip rental, paddle boats, personal watercraft, storage, bait and tackle supplies.
Sequoyah State Park is an ideal getaway just 45 minutes southeast of Tulsa. Guests will enjoy the diversity of activities throughout the year. Children's activities are planned throughout the spring, summer and fall. This escape is perfect for families, reunions, couples and conference groups.
The swimming pool is open seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day from 10am-9pm.

Seminole camping area: Additional $5 premium fee for both modern (water/electric/sewer) and semi-modern (water/electric) sites.
Cherokee camping area: Premium site (concrete pad) fee: $3
Pets are allowed in select cabins for an additional $15 per pet, per day.
The swimming pool is free for overnight lodge and cottage guests.
Three camp areas within Sequoyah State Park accept reservations: Seminole, Choctaw and Cherokee. The Seminole Area has 19 sites with water and electric hookups and 21 sites with water, electric and sewer hookups. Choctaw has 24 sites with water, electric and sewer hookups. Reservations are accepted in Seminole and Choctaw all year by clicking the 'Book RV Campsites' button at the top of the page.
Senior Discounts for Cabins & Lodge Rooms:
A discount (currently 15%) may be given to senior and disabled visitors on the established nightly rate per cabin or lodge room Sunday-Thursday nights only, excluding holidays. Some restrictions may apply.
Senior Discounts for Campsites:
The senior discount is currently $2 off the daily published rate for designated standard RV and tent campsites. Utility fees are not discounted.
Total disability discount is currently 50% of the base rate for designated standard RV and tent campsites. Utility and premium campsite fees are not discounted.
Senior discounts are also offered on swimming pool fees and other recreational features. Weekday discounts are offered to senior golfers for specific tee times.
