Celebrate the coming of autumn with family, friends and the people of Stringtown. Head to Stringtown, Oklahoma, for the annual Good Old Days event, which celebrates the history of this charming town. Held just east of Highway 69 in southeast Oklahoma at the Stringtown High School, the Good Old Days Celebration starts out with a 5K race for all ages, as well as a grand parade down Main Street complete with brightly decorated floats, local dignitaries, fancy old cars, horses and ATVs.

Stick around for the competitive horseshoe tournament with divisions for both adult and youth. Enjoy a variety of great food all day long - just don't forget to save room for the annual homemade pie auction - they don't last long.  With lots of live music, games, a turtle decorating contest for kids, face painting, local vendors, a tribute to veterans, a grand tour of a renovated historical home, and plenty of giveaways, this celebration has something for everyone.
