Buffalo Waller Ranch
The Buffalo Waller Ranch, established in 2003, is located six miles east of Ponca City and three miles west of Kaw City on Hwy 11. The ranch is approximately 900 acres, which was part of the original Oklahoma Cherokee Strip Land Run in 1893. Historic buffalo wallows and homestead sites are preserved to this day. Presently, the Buffalo Waller Ranch also adjoins with the Kaw Lake Reservoir to offer great upland game bird hunting on nearly 18,000 acres, providing ample room and a great habitat for deer, turkey and waterfowl.
The Buffalo Waller Ranch specializes in quail and chukar hunts with pheasants. They also offer meals and a fully furnished lodge designed with hunters in mind. Everything from the furniture to the decor represents wildlife and the sport of hunting. The lodge has three bedrooms, with a total of six beds, and two bathrooms fully stocked with all of the necessities. A washer and dryer is also available at the lodge so you can wash your hunting clothes after a long day outdoors.
The Buffalo Waller Ranch uses released birds and accompanying hunting dogs for the guided hunts. These quality trained dogs work hard to make your hunt enjoyable and are also very entertaining to watch. The ranch also offers 10-day commercial hunting licenses and gun rental for your convenience.
