Celebrate spring by flying kites at the annual Family Kite Flite Day, held at Spiro Mounds Archaeological Center, the only prehistoric Native American archaeological site open to the public.  Bring the entire family and your own kites, or local scouts will help you make one. Professional kiters will be on hand to show off their skills, kids will have a chance to find "treasures" in the sand box and adults can find their own treasures in the arts and craft area at the Family Kite Flight Day.
