The Smokin’ Red Dirt BBQ Cook-Off & Music Fest comes to downtown Enid in mid-April. This event is a sanctioned Kansas City Barbecue Society state competition, as well as a community celebration. The event kicks off Friday evening with a people's choice rib eating contest. Sample ribs from more than 20 competitors before stepping into Central National Bank Center for music and dancing.

While those in attendance must purchase tickets to taste, there are plenty of activities available for free. Enjoy a festival atmosphere complete with live entertainment and plenty of activities for kids including pony rides and bounce houses. More than 65 barbecue pit master vie for thousands in prize money during this weekend event.
