Step back in time at A Territorial Christmas Celebration in Guthrie with a live theatre production, historic home tours, live performances and so much more. Kick off the holiday season by attending a performance of  the popular Pollard Theatre presentation of  "A Territorial Christmas Carol: An Oklahoma Tradition."  An Oklahoma version of the famous "A Territorial Christmas Carol" complete with Ebenezer Scrooge, this production depicts the classic tale from Charles Dickens set in the days of the Oklahoma Land Run.

Watch as decorated floats covered in lights make their way through downtown, spreading joy and cheer along the way in the Guthrie Christmas Parade and wave to Santa Claus as he rides by.  At the post office, carriage rides will be available, and the new Territorial Governor will be announced.

During Guthrie's Victorian Walk Evenings visitors to A Territorial Christmas Celebration will step back into the Victorian era with candlelit trolley rides, carolers in early-1900s dress and decorated store windows complete with re-enactors depicting Victorian-era Guthrie. Pick up some tasty treats from peanut vendors lining the downtown streets and visit Journey to Bethlehem, a depiction of the journey taken by Mary and Joseph with live actors and animals.

Other activities scheduled for A Territorial Christmas Celebration include the Territorial Homes Tour, featuring homes decorated in the style of the early 20th century, and Candlelight Trolley Tours on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in December.

Whether touring Victorian-era Guthrie while snacking on warm treats and hot wassail or viewing downtown, sparkling with thousands of Christmas lights, onboard a trolley, A Territorial Christmas Celebration is a perfect family-friendly getaway this holiday season. Make your way to Guthrie to join this spectacular Christmas-themed party complete with live music and local residents dressed in Victorian-era attire.
