Nescatunga Arts & Crafts Festival
500 Barnes St
The Nescatunga Arts & Crafts Festival, held annually in Alva during the first week in June, showcases the work of area artists and crafters. Come to Alva's Courthouse Square to browse through booths filled with oil paintings, acrylic works, watercolor paintings, sculptures, pastel pieces, photography, jewelry, pottery, weaving, homemade crafts and more. Join visitors from all over the region as they descend on downtown Alva for live entertainment, food vendors and a variety of participants selling their wares.
Hosted by the Nescatunga Arts Council, this annual show also features a wide variety of basketry, clothing, ceramics, furniture, decorative items and home decor, as well as blacksmith and quilting demonstrations. Attracting more than 150 artists each year, the Nescatunga Arts & Crafts Festival is one of the longest running art festivals in the state. The artwork is judged by a visiting artist, and awards are given to the top three artists in a total of eight categories. Enjoy a beautiful summer day at the Nescatunga Arts & Crafts Festival, and make sure to stick around to see which lucky artist is awarded the Best of Show title.
