Witness traditional Native American dancing at the New Year's Eve Powwow in Muskogee. The powwow kicks off at 1pm with gourd dancing until 5pm, followed by a supper break. Gourd dancing resumes at 6pm, and the grand entry begins at 7pm. Dance contests that will be featured at the New Year's Eve Powwow include fancy dance, straight dance, jingle dress and fancy shawl. Kids can also enter the Legacy Kid's Art Contest. Head to the Muskogee Civic Center for the 18th annual powwow that is sure to be an exciting way to ring in 2019, and please be sure to bring your own chairs.
