Continuing a centuries-old tradition of traveling education groups in the 19th and early 20th century United States, Lawton Chautauqua presents "2021 Chautauqua: Twentieth Century Visionaries". Held at the Lawton City Hall Auditorium and the Museum of the Great Plains, this modern-day Chautauqua will present a variety of historical enactments, workshops, and informal discussions highlighting the vision and foresight of 20th-century characters who continue to influence our lives in the 21st century. Each day, a different scholar gives a presentation in character followed by a Q&A session with the audience, first in character, then as a scholar.
