Nature lovers and fans of biology unite at BioBlitz, an annual 24-hour inventory of Oklahoma's biodiversity. Held at Sequoyah State Park & Lodge in Hulbert, BioBlitz will explore this peninsula surrounded by Fort Gibson Lake. This event is hosted by the Oklahoma Biological Survey and encourages participants to count as many species as possible in a 24-hour period. This hands-on approach to science provides a learning experience like no other for all ages.
Registration for BioBlitz includes two nights of tent camping at Sequoyah State Park & Lodge, an event tee, snacks on Friday night and a light breakfast Saturday morning. Participants in BioBlitz should bring camping equipment, clothing, personal items and equipment to observe, collect and identify organisms.
