The Norman Music Festival, an annual event held in Norman, features over 100 bands on multiple stages. This music festival features everything from euphoric indie pop to classic folk rock. The festival is free and open to the public and will take place on the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of historic Downtown E. Main Street, east of the railroad tracks in the Downtown Norman Arts District.

Entertainment on Thursday night and Friday night will predominantly be held at indoor locations, while Saturday will feature the full-blown festival atmosphere complete with street closures and large outdoor stages. Rock and roll, country, hip hop, funk, Latin and electronica will be among the genres represented. Poetry slams, a spoken word stage and stand-up comedy will also be included. On Saturday night, enjoy as up-and-coming bands perform jam sessions and veteran musical groups reassemble for a night of lively music throughout Norman.

Make your way to the Norman Music Festival on Saturday and join thousands of visitors and music-lovers as they parade up and down Main Street listening to bands on the main stages or ducking into local venues for more intimate musical settings. Don't miss the live performances at The Opolis, a local music venue that opens its doors to festival-goers and its stage to the sounds of punk and alternative rock.

With over 100 bands performing on different stages throughout the day, the Norman Music Festival continues to attract record numbers of visitors, music fans and art enthusiasts. In addition to the music, watch as local comedians and poets perform, or browse through booths filled with jewelry, clothing and home decor. Restrooms, food, drink, ATMs, information booths, first aid and security will be on-hand, ensuring that the Norman Music Festival will go on without a hitch.

The festivities at the Norman Music Festival offer something for everyone. Children will enjoy the Little Rocker Stage as they jam out to musical acts while being able to get a rock star hairdo or create their own art. The festival's Dustbowl Arts Market will showcase the creativity of local artists. The Dustbowl Arts Market has partnered with the Norman Music Festival to create an open-air market in downtown Norman, featuring regional arts and vendors dealing handmade crafts and goods.
