The name "deadCENTER" refers to Oklahoma City, the "dead center" of the United States, and the center of the festival's home in downtown Oklahoma City. Created in 2001, deadCENTER Film Festival taps into the thriving global film community by providing a competitive platform for independent filmmakers, as well as a dynamic educational forum.
