For a great time in a small town, head to Pittsburg for the Founders Day Festival and Rodeo this July. Located near McAlester, the proud town of Pittsburg puts on a fun and exciting weekend of festivities that you won't want to miss. Celebrate with the community and visitors from surrounding areas with family-friendly activities and entertainment like a parade, a pie and cake auction, and free barbecue.

A dance on Thursday evening will start the weekend off on a fun note, with Friday night featuring the exciting rodeo events like bronc riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, mutton busting and many more. Saturday's festivities will start early with a 5K run/walk followed closely by the festival parade which will feature creative floats and town dignitaries. Vendors of all kinds will line the streets including arts, crafts, jewelry, face painting and carnival game stands. This fun and relaxing event is something the whole family will enjoy, so don't miss it.
