Cooked in a hearthstone oven with a combination of simple ingredients, flatbread goes back millennia, providing sustenance and influencing just about every cuisine in the world. Naples Flatbread & Wine Bar in Tulsa respectfully puts a modern spin on this ancient staple.
At the heart of Naples menu is a high quality flatbread, house made and finished in one of the restaurant's specially built hearthstone ovens. Covering the global culinary map, the chefs at Naples have created over a dozen variations on the restaurant’s signature dish. Whether it’s the Italian beef short rib Costola, spicy Thai shrimp Bang Bang, Greek style Pietro, Caribbean Jerk or Japanese Ginsu, Naples has a flatbread for every palate.
In addition to the signature flatbread, Naples crafts a house made variation of Neapolitan style pizza crust. Each pie starts with four basic ingredients, house crust, a base of extra virgin olive oil, fior-di-latte or fresh mozzarella and house pomodoro sauce. Additional ingredients, from pepperoni to pineapple and fresh basil are then added to create over a half dozen signature pizzas.
Not only has Naples Flatbread created their own pizza and flatbread recipes, the restaurant has also crafted a house made butter beer dough. This dough stars in the bar’s version of the classic calzone: choose from veggie, meat lovers, traditional and chicken bacon ranch. For an American spin on the Italian classic, try the Triple “B” Burger. Starting with a half-pound angus patty, the kitchen wraps the butter beer dough from the calzone around the beef and adds a variety of ingredients to create four different types of burger--the pizza, western, Tulsa or bacon cheddar. This flavorful package is then sealed up and finished in one of Naples' stone hearth ovens.
On the lighter side, Naples Flatbread offers a wide selection of paninis, wraps and gourmet salads. For a heartier appetite, try one of the pasta dishes, paired with a choice of tandoori naan bread or enjoy one of their specialty entrées, like the boneless short ribs or osso bucco, made of fresh pork shank, seared and slow braised to perfection.
