Get the whole family involved and learn more about mountain bike riding at the Family Fat Tire Festival at Lake Thunderbird.

Held at the Clear Bay Mountain Bike Trails at Lake Thunderbird State Park, this all day event is designed to celebrate off road bicycling and demystify it for novice riders and people interested in the sport.  Bring your bike and helmet to the festival, mechanics will be on hand to inspect them and make sure they’re trail ready. Helmet loaners will be available for those that don’t have them.  After getting your gear checked out, take a spin with seasoned bicyclists leading guided trail rides for groups of all ages and abilities.

In addition to the biking, at the Family Fat Tire Festival, enjoy music, snacks, door prizes and kids crafts.  After tooling around the trails, satisfy that post ride hunger with some barbecue from Billy Sims.
