Oklahoma artist Rick Sinnett transformed from a sketch artist and printmaker to an American folk mural artist with works widely recognized across the Sooner State. One of his most well-known works includes his “This Land” mural on the former Rocktown Climbing Gym silos. This massive mural, which stands 100’ by 128’, catches the attention of Bricktown tourists wandering along the canals. What started as a Kickstarter project has turned into a major Route 66 public art attraction. The “This Land” design pays tribute to Native America with its geometric bison, scissortail flycatcher, Indian paintbrush flowers, wheat and Oklahoma River elements.
