Western Avenue in Oklahoma City commissioned local artists to paint murals across the district. This 2014 “Contact Light” mural by Jerrod Smith, Aaron Cahill and Phillip Danner was inspired by the universe and its vastness. The artists modeled this Western Avenue mural after local artist Lauren Miller and created it using spray paint alone. “Contact Light” represents everyone’s separate paths and perspectives and encourages viewers to decide for themselves whether the subject is floating, levitating, rising or falling.
