Experience a diverse array of student films during the Bison Bison Film Festival. This Ponca City event also offers free workshops on filmmaking resources for the general public. Whether you're a filmmaker or more of a spectator, spend the weekend in and out of City Central for screenings of movies that span a variety of genres.
Friday evening of the Bison Bison Film Festival, watch as horror short films fill the screens, before the vibe of the theater changes with music videos, followed by experimental films.
On Saturday morning, enjoy two workshops led by filmmaker and instructor Craig Paquinzo from the University of Arkansas, and Oklahoma filmmaker Darryl Cox. Paquinzo will outline the basics of starting a documentary film, while Cox will discuss film set safety issues.
That night, sit back and watch as various thought-provoking and entertaining short films take to the screen. Stay after the credits to meet student filmmakers during Q&A sessions, and see which films come out on top.
