Join Jason Isbell for an evening of great Americana music as he and the 400 Unit take the stage at the Criterion in OKC’s Bricktown District.

At just 22 years old, Isbell cut his teeth writing and touring nonstop as the third part to the Drive-By Truckers wall of guitar, Southern rock sound. After six years and some personal issues, Isbell set out on his own and formed a band, the 400 Unit, from seasoned Muscle Shoals, Alabama session players.

Even while working with the Truckers, Isbell’s pen tended towards the personal, offering an unflinching and honest look at life in the modern South, a world populated with flawed fathers and murder ballads. After striking out on his own, the songwriter’s voice has only gotten stronger, fully ripening with the release of the intensely personal “Southeastern” in 2013. The record, which dealt with Isbell's struggle with addiction, swept the Americana Awards the following year and earned a spot on most critics’ top ten lists.  “Something More Than Free,” the follow up record, debuted in the number one spot on Billboard’s rock, folk and country charts and has gone on to earn two Grammy Awards.

Be sure to show up early and catch the hell-bent and whiskey fueled opening set from Memphis’ own Lucero.
