Winter Wildlife Tour
Journey to Foss Lake in western Oklahoma to spend time in nature and learn about Oklahoma wildlife. Presented by Foss State Park and the Washita Wildlife Refuge, this fun and educational event gives attendees the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the amazing animals who call this beautiful habitat home.
Hop on the heated, handicap-accessible tour bus that will shuttle visitors around the refuge and state park in search of bald eagles, ducks and geese, bobcats, coyotes, armadillos, white-tailed deer and more. The bus is equipped with a sound system, allowing riders to sit back and enjoy the sights as the guide explains the wildlife, habitats and history of this unique area.
This thrilling tour will wrap up with bison viewing and a free lunch at park headquarters. Spotting scopes will be available for wildlife watching, but participants are encouraged to bring their own binoculars and/or spotting scopes as well. Remember to dress for January weather in western Oklahoma at this state park event that's sure to be fun for the whole family.
