Kendall Whittier District
After construction of I-244 split up the Kendall-Whittier neighborhood, this historically-thriving area lost its momentum. The Kendall Whittier District has made a comeback, however, with new businesses opening every year. This official cultural district in Tulsa hosts arts shows and Hispanic heritage markets throughout the year, attracting many visitors interested in the unique offerings of the area. Anchored by the city's last standing historic theater, Circle Cinema, and the historic clock tower, the Kendall Whittier District preserves a slice of history while making modern waves.
