UR/BUN Good Eats
With the opening of UR/BUN Good Eats, Korean street food has finally made its way to OKC's Uptown 23rd Street district. Lunch or late night, stop in and order up a bun or three to eat on the go or enjoy right in their cheerful little dining room.
Similar to street food from other parts of the globe (think tacos) Korean bao are basically hand held sandwiches made from expertly prepared cheap cuts of meat, expertly prepared and served up on delightfully fluffy, slightly sweet steamed bun.
UR/BUN offers up a fairly straightforward menu, choose from a regular cast of six different buns - fried chicken, pork belly, duck, mushroom, tofu and tonkatsu (breaded pork loin) - or opt for the seasonal daily special, then round out your order with house cut potato or veggie fries, specialty dipping sauces and Korean soda. For the sweet tooth, check out an order of their Cinna-Bun Stix or house made soft serve ice cream.
Patrons of the Tower Theatre can stop into the restaurant and avoid online fees by buying their tickets at the "Bun Office." Ticket sales are credit card only and subject to a $1 fee toward the building's historic preservation fun.
