Formed in Birmingham, AL in 2011, this energetic ensemble pulls from their deep Southern roots to distill a retro-tinged sound that's equal parts Saturday night soul and soaring Sunday morning gospel. Vacillating somewhere between a tent-revival preacher and James Brown, impassioned frontman Paul Janeway holds court over a super tight band, bedrocked on lockstep rhythm players perfectly dovetailed with a soaring horn section.
