The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) in Chickasha presents a unique, one-day learning experience with the Festival of Arts & Ideas. Come to the USAO Ballroom, where USAO students and faculty from diverse fields of study will come together to explore this year's theme: Interaction.

You won't want to miss this engaging celebration of creativity. Focusing on the distinctive learning environment at USAO, this festival is a presentation of scholarly and creative work from the faculty, students, staff and alumni. This unique interdisciplinary conference features performances, lectures, discussions and exhibits that exemplify the interdisciplinary, liberal arts mission of the university.

The 2019 festivities will include an "If Yeast Makes Alcohol, Why Don't We Get Drunk Eating Bread?" demonstration featuring special treats for the crowd, a "Devising Theatre, Improvising Theatre, and Moment Work" presentation on stage improv history, and an "Alien, Metroid, and the Experience of Space" examination of how pop sci-fi media affects how we perceive our existence within the universe. Guests can also enjoy an art installation and participate in a call and response choir concert at the 2019 Festival of Arts & Ideas.
