History buffs won't want to miss the Oklahoma Civil War Symposium at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. This free event will feature fascinating lectures by three renowned historians, including Dr. James Finck, associate professor of history at USAO, followed by Dr. Carol Sheriff, Pullen professor of history at The College of William and Mary. The day will close out with a talk by Dr. Harold Holzer, director of the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College, followed by a book signing with all three presenters.

Register for the RSVP-only reception, held between the second and third lectures, for a chance to mingle with these distinguished scholars. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and wine will be served during this event in the USAO Regents Room. Cost to attend is $20 per person and registration is required by June 18 through the Oklahoma Civil War Symposium website.
