American Aquarium in Concert
Join American Aquarium for a very special evening of blistering honky-tonk when they take over the historic Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa. With a bluesy catalog filled with biographical lyrics about last calls, lost loves and long horizons, American Aquarium has been grinding away on the road for over a decade, building a rabid fan base, one honky-tonk at a time. After over two dozen personnel changes and nearly calling it quits, the band scraped just enough together to hire Jason Isbell to produce and record “Burn.Flicker.Die.” in Muscle Shoals.
Critics took notice, and this desperately heartbreaking record of disillusionment helped put American Aquarium on the road to legitimacy. 2014’s “Wolves,” the crowdfunded follow up, continued the band’s upward streak, gaining scores of new fans with ballads like “Man I’m Supposed to Be,” “Wolves” and “Losing Side of Twenty Five.” You won't want to miss this very special evening when BJ Barham and Co. roll into town, delivering tracks off their brand-new "Lamentations" album.
