Grove Playmakers presents: Silver Lining
Escape the chill of the January and February air and join the Grove Playmakers theater for a performance of "Silver Lining," a witty play with odd-ball characters and some side-splitting one-liners. Written by co-presenter of The Great British Baking Show on PBS, Sandi Toksvig, "Silver Lining" follows five elderly women at the Silver Retirement Home in the town of Gravesend, which has recently been evacuated after a major flood.
As the only remaining residents at the retirement home, there's not much else for this group of bored seniors to do than swap stories of their remarkable, quirky and unique lives. Follow these women on their journey as are faced with the sudden realization that in order to survive they are going to have to do what they have done for their entire lives – save themselves.
Don't miss this hilarious and courageous comedy about treading through life's unpredicatable storms.
