Smokey Bear Birthday Bash
Head to the Forest Heritage Center Museum at Beavers Bend State Park in Broken Bow for a Smokey Bear Birthday Bash. In celebration of Smokey's 75th birthday, students can compete in an art show, meet Smokey and enjoy delicious birthday cookies. All ages are invited to take a look at 14 dioramas created by Smokey Bear artist Harry Rossoll, which tell the story of forestry from prehistoric times through the future. Cheer on regional student artists displaying work in the Owa-Chito Art Show, and see who comes home with Best of Show titles.
