At the intersection of Oklahoma and Grand Avenues in downtown Enid, a black swallowtail mural welcomes visitors to the Arts & Entertainment District. Painted by 2015 Oklahoma Artist of the Year, Rick Sinnett, who is known for his vibrant mandala-inspired, Oklahoma-themed creations, this visual marker also offers a unique photo opportunity. If you stand in the perfect position, your photo will look like you are the butterfly. This beautiful piece of public art features the Oklahoma state butterfly, the black swallowtail, a symbol of transformation, colorfully gracing the side of the Conrady Electric building.
