Escape the bustling cityscape of Oklahoma City with a trip to Scissortail Park, a 70-acre urban oasis located downtown. Navigate to the park via Oklahoma City Streetcar, trek over via the Skydance Bridge or bike the urban trails. Be sure to bring your dog to enjoy the pet-friendly playground, too. Once you arrive, decide between exploring the beautiful Woodland Gardens or stopping in for a bite to eat at Spark Cafe.

In the Northern section of the park, break out lawn chairs to catch a show on the Love's Travel Stops Stage and Great Lawn. The whole family can munch on picnic food fare under the Picnic Grove Trellis before letting the kids explore the Children's Playground. The kids are invited to climb the geometric domes, scale the rock climbing wall, ascend the fort tower and more before cooling off at the interactive fountains.

At the Upper Park, outdoor recreation opportunities abound. All ages can traverse the 3.7-acre lake via pedal boat, kayak or stand-up paddleboard or roller skate outdoors. Guests can also book the 6,400 sq ft event pavilion. While taking time to relax in the heart of nature, be sure to reflect on the events of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing at the commemorative Survivor Tree clone growing in the Survivor Tree Lawn.
