Connect to nature with a scenic experience at Beavers Bend State Park during the Friends Hike. This event will introduce participants to the new Friends Trail, which opens a week after the hike. Friends Trail is the first new trail to be added to the park’s roster in fifteen years. This intermediate trail begins at Spillway Creek below the dam and makes a 1.5 mile loop.

Hikers can expect rugged terrain with rocky outcroppings and a steep incline. Enjoy panoramic views of the lake from the top of a ridge during this special guided hike. Participants should bring a refillable container for water and wear appropriate clothing for hiking. Hikes are expected to last 1.5 to two hours.
