Frontier City, Oklahoma's only Western-themed amusement park, has been a favorite Oklahoma City destination for over 50 years. Featuring rides for all ages, live entertainment and delicious food options, visitors are guaranteed to find something to do at Frontier City. Thrill seekers can test the boundaries of gravity on looping roller coasters like the Silver Bullet and the Diamond Back or on the Wildcat, a more traditional coaster. Frontier City's newest ride, the Gunslinger, takes 24 riders on a flipping, twisting and spinning ride over 60 feet in the air. If you're looking for a pure adrenaline rush, try the Brain Drain, a circular, seven story tall roller coaster that takes 24 riders through six 360 degree inversions.

Family-friendly rides, water rides and live shows straight out of the Wild West are great attractions for those who want to stay closer to the ground. The Steel Lasso is Oklahoma's only suspended family coaster, and a train ride around the park on the Ol' 89er Express is old-fashioned fun for everyone. Check out the view of Oklahoma City from the top of the gondola-style Ferris wheel, the Grand Centennial, or take a leisurely ride on the Grand Carousel.

On a hot day, cool off with a ride on the Mystery River Log Flume or Renegade Rapids, both guaranteed to make a big splash. Another cool option at Frontier City is Wild West Water Works, featuring the 66-foot tall Gully Washer, an enclosed triple body slide with tight 360° curves, back-to-back turns and thrilling dips. This exciting water features stands five stories tall and boasts eight water slides, a 1,000-gallon tipping bucket and a spacious lounging deck. Guests can also take advantage of on-site changing and shower facilities, and access to Wild West Water Works is included with admission.

Frontier City's live entertainment recreates the feel of the Wild West. From action-packed shootouts to saloon shows and musicals, visitors are transported back in time. For a more modern show, each summer Frontier City holds a concert series, and every concert is free with park admission.

Frontier City also features rides tailored to the youngest of visitors. Among those rides are a miniature roller coaster, the Wild Kitty and a miniature train, the Rio Grande. Parents can join in the fun at Paul Bunyan's Buzzsaw Co., an interactive foam factory featuring gadgets and lots of activities.  Children can paddle around in a canoe on a lazy river on the Tippecanoe and can see animals up close at the petting zoo.

No one could have a fun-filled day without refueling with lunch or a snack, and Frontier City has many different food and drink options available to visitors. Most of the dining options are Western-themed and many have indoor seating. Visit a Frontier City gift shop for a souvenir, to always keep your memories of the day close. Groups of all sizes are welcome and can be accommodated with reservations.
