Geekapalooza: A STEAM Festival for Kids is an all-virtual event connecting families with exciting STEAM projects to follow along at home, interviews of local scientists, local factory tours and more. The event is designed to excite kids to learn more about these subjects and to inspire them to consider a career in STEAM through a fun series of 10, one-hour workshops. The workshops are geared for preschool to middle school boys and girls and will include hands-on science fun, engineering and art projects.  Join in a “Geek” costume photo contest and other creative contests will add to this exciting event.

With the upgraded VIP option, families will receive a box of materials for the projects, plus several coupons for an experience such as visiting a local museum or riding the zip line at Camp Trivera, the new urban Girl Scout camp located east of the OKC Zoo. General admission ticket-holders will receive a list of items to round up for the projects prior to the start of the program. Each session will be recorded so participating families can enjoy them again or watch them for the first time on their own schedule.
