Covered Wagon Courage and Conundrums
What was it like to travel West by covered wagon? An authentic wagon from the 1889 Land Run is coming for a two-day visit to the Edmond Historical Society & Museum. Investigate the features of the covered wagon, learn how to pack for such a long journey, and discover how pioneers cooked, slept, dressed and played during their travels. Visitors have two opportunities to view and climb inside the wagon for photographs with staff on hand to share information and assist with taking photos.
In conjunction, the museum is offering a children's day camp, Covered Wagon Courage and Conundrums, at the historic Rodkey House this Spring Break. If you love the adventure of traveling to a new place, then climb aboard an authentic covered wagon for a glimpse at life in Oklahoma Territory.
