Thunderbird Drone Festival
Thunderbird Drone Festival
The second annual Thunderbird Drone Festival is Oklahoma's first and only drone film festival and drone technology event. Held in Woodward, this in-person event has something for everyone regardless of age or familiarity with drones.
Thunderbird Drone Festival will kick off the festivities on Friday with a film/photo awards show at the historic and charming Woodward Arts Theatre. The event will showcase the world's best drone films and photos across various categories. The films and photos featured in the festival will be hand-selected by a professional jury, including Emmy award winners. Prizes will be awarded and attendees will celebrate together at an after party for VIP ticket holders. Watch a fleet of synchronized drones light up the night sky over Main Street in Downtown Woodward immediately following the film and photo award show in the Thunderbird Drone Light Show.
The Day of Drones will start Saturday morning. Grab your coffee and spend the morning listening to various drone seminars, panels and education on everything related to the drone industry. Lunch will be provided to all attendees. Dr. Jamey Jacob, OSU’s Director of Unmanned Systems Research Institute and Professor of Aerospace Engineering, will deliver a keynote address right after lunch.
The weekend will close with the exciting FPV Drone Races at the 2022 Sky-high Shootout. Watch as goggle-wearing drone pilots zip tiny whoop drones through a complicated obstacle course. Cheer on your favorite pilot and see if they have what it takes to be this year's champion.
