Celebrate National Bison Day during the two-day Old West Buffalo Days Festival. This Pawhuska event takes guests back to the 1800s with three exciting ticketed events. On Friday evening, the Black Tie Buffalo Gala will feature an unforgettable evening with Theodore Roosevelt, Charles and Molly (Mary) Goodnight and Wyatt Earp. The 26th president will share his inspiring life story, detailing the role he played in saving the American bison. Guests will also view an original short film telling the remarkable story of the American buffalo, followed by live music and dancing.

On Saturday, enjoy an 1800s festival featuring Native American and Western storytelling and music during the Buffalo Rendezvous. See a variety of living history characters, participate in a buffalo chip throwing contest, take a buffalo hay wagon tour and enjoy free samples at the Buffalo Chili Cook-Off, where you can vote for your favorite dish.

The Buffalo Adventure Dinner Theater on Saturday evening will transport guests to the 1800s in the fictional town of Buffalo City. This action-packed dinner theater will tell the story of the American Buffalo through people who lived through this exciting era. Enjoy a catered meal on vintage china in a rustic, elegant event space, followed by a wagon ride taking guests among the buffalo where they can hand feed them. End the evening around a campfire with Theodore Roosevelt, then raise your glass in a toast during the closing ceremony with an inspiring message from Teddy.

All event tickets must be purchased in advance.
