Honor the legacy of famous Oklahoman and Native American Olympic medalist Jim Thorpe at the Jim Thorpe Celebration and Memorial 5K in Yale this May. Run the streets surrounding Jim Thorpe's original home while competing in the 5K during the start of the celebration. Visitors can also enjoy free, family-friendly activities, such as inflatables, live music, food trucks and shopping at the Yale Trade Days vendor market. If you didn't break enough sweat during the 5K, sign-up for the softball tournament also hosted at Jim Thorpe Park.
