Take part in an exciting and informative event during the Oklahoma Historical Society's 1840s Encampment & Education Day. The festivities kick off with Living History Education Day, where guests will learn what life was like in Fort Towson more than 180 years ago through immersive demonstrations. The following two days will see the Fort Towson Historic Site brought to life with reenactors wearing historically accurate costumes while demonstrating games, tool usage and participating in encampment activities. Guests will also learn the history of Sulter's Store, the base's source of goods and merchandise until 1854. Step back in time during this can't-miss experience in Fort Towson during the 1840s Encampment & Education Day.
