We Are the Roots: Film Screening & Discussion
Attend a film screening of "We Are the Roots: Black Settlers and Their Experiences of Discrimination on the Canadian Prairies" in celebration of Black History Month this February. "We Are the Roots" is a documentary that explores the lives of African Americans who fled from the United States to Canada. After the documentary, watch short films by Solomon Sir Jones, Melinda James and Tatyana Fazlalizadeh and participate in a post-viewing discussion.
