Hootie Creek House Bed & Breakfast
Come see why the peaceful, historic town of Talihina is the perfect place to spend a special weekend. Hootie Creek House Bed & Breakfast is conveniently located just seven miles from the entry way to the scenic Talimena Drive, a beautiful drive in the fall and anytime of the year. This hotel was originally built in 1906 as the Commercial Hotel and Boarding House. It burned down in 1947 and was rebuilt in 1948 as the Taylors Hotel. It soon evolved into a boarding house. Another fire closed the house, where it sat in ruin until December 2004 when it was purchased and restored. It then reopened its doors as a bed and breakfast in 2010.
On the first floor you will find an amazing view as the kitchen and dinning area is brought back to life with the original island, furniture and pieces. Two living rooms are featured on the second floor with access to an upper deck with patio furniture for relaxing and enjoying the amazing mountain views. As an added bonus, there is a 40 ft deck along the side of the building on the first level with a lush courtyard and comfortable patio furniture. Hootie Creek House offers six smoke-free bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom. Come stay for a relaxing weekend. Hootie Creek's staff is happy to accommodate work-related travelers in their long-term stays, as well as hosting events such as parties, meetings and weddings.
