A historic building renovated to its original splendor, the Newkirk Heritage Center is on the National Register of Historic Places. Visit this venue to see early day photographs of Newkirk and the surrounding area, a reconstruction of an early day home and a large mural of early Newkirk.

The Heritage Center also offers services to groups including meal functions, walking tours of the National Register district, storytelling events and tea parties. The Charlie Adams Day BBQ is held here in September, and features a western band, gospel music, stage coach rides and gunfight reenactments. Head to this fascinating building to experience Newkirk's rich history and present day community.
