Adventure awaits at the Oklahoma City Zoo & Botanical Garden. Featuring 1,800 animals located on 120 beautiful acres, the zoo is one of Oklahoma's top attractions. Renowned for outstanding exhibits that allow resident animals to enjoy their natural habitats, visitors get up-close vantage points to view all the action. The Oklahoma City Zoo & Botanical Garden is fully accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the American Association of Museums.

Sanctuary Asia is a palatial elephant habitat housing four Asian elephants. Guests can listen to daily presentations on these majestic animals for free. The Zoo's popular Cat Forest and Lion Overlook features a diverse collection of small and large cats. Cisitors can stand inside viewing stations and watch tigers stalk and lions sun themselves, while outdoor trails through the exhibit offer additional views.

The Great EscApe exhibit at the zoo showcases apes including gorillas, chimpanzees and orangutans. Venture into the world of the great apes as you journey through a tropical rain forest and interpretive displays over the six-acre exhibit.

In addition to a train ride through the zoo, guests can take a cruise on the Zoo Lake during the Safari Voyage. Each educational ride lasts 15-20 minutes, and includes fun facts about the zoo, upcoming events and the boat, which is built to resemble the famous African Queen. Be sure to visit the Oklahoma Trails exhibit, featuring eight acres of adventure showcasing more than 800 animals native to the state.

For one of the zoo’s most interactive exhibits, don’t miss the opportunity to touch and occasionally feed some majestic underwater creatures at Stingray Bay. Located near the Canopy Food Court, you’ll see cownose stingrays, southern stingrays, bonnethead sharks and white-spotted bamboo sharks in this 16,000 gallon pool. Stingray Bay is open March 1-October 31.

Let the kids play in the Children's Zoo, where they can explore a natural environment that stimulates their imagination, encourages exploration and gives them a greater appreciation for nature. Exhibit highlights include an interactive "touch" area with barnyard animals and a waterway area with a waterfall, flamingos and a koi pond. The ever-popular lorikeets, spider and squirrel monkeys are always on display.
