The Small Ruminant Animal Husbandry Training is a great place to start learning the basics of farming, homesteading and sustainable living. Learn how to care for small ruminants such as sheep, goats, alpacas and llamas during this class led by Dr. Diane Dickinson, a licensed veterinarian and agriculturalist with over forty years of experience. The Dickinsons have owned and operated Shepherd's Cross, an Animal Welfare Approved farm, for over 30 years and their livestock include sheep, cattle, alpacas, llamas, donkeys, horses and chickens.

Class topics include vaccinations, tail docking, feet trimming, feeding, pasture management, wool management, shearing and more. Classes are limited to 20 participants and fill quickly. Beverages are provided at breaks. Bring your lunch.
