The Castle of Muskogee
The Castle of Muskogee is one of the city's biggest attractions bringing thousands of people together for one-of-a-kind events. What was once a 60-acre playground and a warehouse is now a facility boasting 36,000 square feet of event space along with the accompanying 20-acre Renaissance Village. Explore the three pirate ships, a mermaid cove, an enchanted fairy boardwalk, a jousting arena, a working clock tower and an Italian piazza. The Castle also has a dungeon, torture chamber and catacombs.
Throughout the year, several large events are held at the Castle of Muskogee celebrating several major holidays and seasons. Every event is full of food, fun and amazing costumes and decorations. The Oklahoma Renaissance Festival in May is widely known as one of the best Renaissance festivals in the country.
Check out their annual fireworks sale for a huge selection of fireworks all in an air-conditioned facility. The Castle Zombie Run has been raising money for local charities for several years as a fun run around the Castle grounds. The Haunted Castle Halloween Festival in October has fun and frights around every corner. The Boare's Heade Feaste welcomes everyone for a Thanksgiving feast in November, and Castle Christmas in December is a beautiful and unique way to get in the holiday spirit.
