The Poteau Chamber of Commerce and The Poteau Balloon Fest Council proudly present the 2011 Poteau Balloon Fest. The annual Poteau Balloon Fest will be held October 21 & 22 with over 20 hot air balloons featuring helicopter rides, the “Mean Machine” Hummer monster truck rides, carriage rides, mud pit races, tethered balloon rides, crafts and more.

With its new location at the LeFlore County Fair Grounds and a $5 admission charge, there will be something for everyone. The Balloon Fest kicks off Friday Evening, October 21 when the gates open at 4:00pm and then again on Saturday, October 22 at 9:00am. Each day, besides the awesome sight of 20 magnificent hot air balloons over the skies of Poteau and LeFlore County, there will be Carriage Rides, Carnival Rides, “Mean Machine” Monster Truck Rides, helicopter rides, tethered balloon rides, performances by America’s Best Frisbee Dogs, Fort Smith Radial Fliers, and the Indian Territory Pistoliers, Balloon Glows at dusk, and so much more.

If you are an avid biker or like some great BBQ then join us Friday Night, October 21 at 7:00pm for the Bikes, Balloons & BBQ inside the Rodeo Arena for a BBQ Cook-Off and a free concert with Magic 55 & Judge Parker (admission requires Balloon Fest Armband).

Saturday bring your friends, family, neighbors the whole crew for a great time all day long. Additional events on Saturday are the Pet Costume Contest, Little Ms. & Mr. Balloon Fest, Silver Dollar Pick Up for Kids, Hill n Hole Mud Pit Race. Stick around Saturday Night for a concert with South 40, Hillbilly Vegas and The Kentucky Headhunters. Entrance for the concert before 6:00pm requires the armband. Concert ticket prices are $15.00 for Reserved Seating and $10.00 for General Admission.
