Midwest City, OK. The annual Holiday Lights Spectacular is set to open in Midwest City on Friday, November 18, with an opening ceremony, beginning at 6 p.m.


The drive-through light display is one of Oklahoma’s largest and brightest animated displays. Now, in its fifteenth year, the event features over 90 animated displays with over 1 million lights throughout the 1.5 mile course. Featured displays include the 118 foot Christmas tree, the majestic Tunnel of Lights and the Illumination Celebration.


The opening ceremony will take place at the north end of Century Blvd., which is the entrance to the event. Participants at the ceremony includes: Senior Vocal Music group form Carl Albert High School; Steed Elementary School Sound Machine; Carl Albert High School ROTC; Midwest City Mayor Jack Fry; Balloon Glow – Spirit Balloons; C&H Carriage Shed and special guest, Santa Claus.


This event is a partnership between the City of Midwest City and these great community sponsors: Tiki Auto Glass, Davis Paint & Collison, Tinker Federal Credit Union, Rapid Service Center, Midwest Regional Medical Center, Rose State College, First National Bank, Advantage Bank, Midwest City Chamber of Commerce, Sheraton Hotel of Midwest City at the Reed Conference Center, and Chick-fil-A.


The event is open November 18 through December 30 each night, beginning at 6 p.m.
