The Broken Arrow Community Playhouse is pleased to announce an ala carte Fund raising performance of our award winning show “The Gin Game” by D.L. Coburn on March 5, 2011 at 8:00 PM .All tickets are $10 per person general admission at the door. We are proudly sending the cast and crew to represent the state of Oklahoma in the 2011 American Association of Community Theatre’s Region VI festival in Lewisville Texas April 14-17, 2011.

The production, originally staged here at the Broken Arrow Community Playhouse in April 2009, directed by Martha Cherbini. The second Act of that production was taken to OCTAfest in July of last year; their talents and hard work were rewarded when "The Gin Game" was named the first place winner of the state competition, as well as the winner of the Standing Ovation (Crowd Pleaser) Award. In addition to these awards, the two actors, Tom Berenson and Karyn Lee Maio, received Outstanding Actor awards and were named to the All-State Cast.

Karyn Maio and Tom Berenson star in the play, which uses a game of cards as a metaphor to examine issues of relationships, family, and aging in
America.  Although only the second act will be presented at Texas AACTFest2011, the full-length production will be staged for this performance. The play does contain adult language, and is for mature audiences.

Admission is $10 per person General Admission. All proceeds go to defray the costs of festival participation. Additional donations will be gratefully accepted. For additional information, call Sherry Hacker at 258-0077.
