Camp McFadden, OK (May 2, 2011) – Catch a big fish, learn to canoe, explore the hiking trails…..just a few of the activities at the fifth annual Camp McFadden Outdoor Expo Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15.
“We’re planning a full weekend of activities with many new things and lots of favorites,” said Kathy Tippin, Outdoor Expo chairman. “There is no charge for the event, but donations will be accepted.”
Some of the new activities include horses, native wildlife display, zip line and inflatables from the Oklahoma National Guard.. There also will be demonstrations, flintknapping, working with hunting dogs, and dutch oven cooking
Do you like to fish? Bring your pole and bait and fish the Camp McFadden pond. Cook your own hot dog over the open camp fire and for dessert toast a marshmallow and fix a s’more.. Enjoy dutch oven cooking courtesy of the DOGS (Dutch Oven Gathering).

Camp McFadden is located on Kaw Lake. It is approximately seven miles east of the Pioneer Woman in Ponca City on Lake Rd, then north on Silverdale and east on Hartford.
