Stillwater, OK, April 8, 2011 – Eskimo Joe’s humble beginnings as a bar has evolved into an iconic Oklahoma restaurant and retail clothing stores. Now the operation is getting a makeover and making some big changes.

Eskimo Joe’s retail space is expanding, gaining near double the useable space. The ceilings will be higher, providing a more spacious feel and improved lighting, and the expanded area will allow more wall space to display merchandise and showcase large lifestyle product photos. All of these elements combine for a fresh look and a more comfortable, enjoyable shopping experience for guests, not to mention the additional restaurant waiting space.

"I'm thrilled to be expanding Joe's Clothes for the sixth time since 1987," said Stan Clark, CEO and founder of Eskimo Joe’s.  "This time we're doubling our retail space which will enable us to showcase roughly twice as many smilin'-fun products than before."

Eskimo Joe’s restaurant will also expand, adding an outdoor seating area on the second story overlooking Elm Street… think New Orleans! Joe's kitchen will also be reconfigured and expanded and new bathrooms will be built both upstairs and downstairs. An elevator will also be installed to make access to the second level easier for guests.

Both Eskimo Joe's and Joe's Clothes will continue to be open during this entire process.
